Okaloosa County

The Tourism Development Department (TDD) is dedicated to enhancing the value of time spent in Okaloosa County for residents, visitors, and workers alike. With a focus on family-friendly experiences, from exploring winding rivers and parks to enjoying white sandy beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, TDD encourages outdoor adventures to nurture the adventurous spirit of children and adults alike.

***The TDD is solely funded by the lodging tax paid by visitors staying overnight in short-term rentals in Okaloosa County. In 2021, voters approved expanding the bed tax district countywide to benefit all residents living in both north and south Okaloosa County. Visitors to Okaloosa County contribute to the local economy with job creation, small business support and are the majority contributors to other tax funds like the infrastructure surtax.
