If you are planning a ribbon cutting, grand opening or some other event let the Chamber help you in organizing for your big event.

Following are some guidlines and suggestions that other businesses have found successful- they are certainly not fool-proof, and they are not all includive. But they should give you aplace to start. Remember, this is your day. Make the most of it!

Be Prepared. Know in advance what information you want the business community to know about your business.

Be Creative. You want people to remember your event.

Be Friendly. Referrals begin with relationships which are based on rapport.

Timing. The best time to hold a ribbon cuttings are between 10 am and 1 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with 11 being the best time. Schedule at least two weeks ahead.

Food. Although food is no required, people tend to be more comfortable and linger longer if food is provided. You may lay out some cookies and coffee, or order lunch. The option are endless and for every budget.

Smile. Your picture will not only hang around on your wall, it will also appear in the Crestview News Bulletin, NWFL Daily News, The Hub, and our very own Chamber FOCUS newsletter published by NWFL Daily News.
